Cozy Embers Campground and Cabins wins 2025 Harvey L. Golubock Business Competition

The Harvey L. Golubock Business Competition’s $20,000 grand prize was awarded to Scott and Jessica Larkin, business owners of Cozy Embers Campground and Cabins.  

 Cozy Embers Campground and Cabins is a new business that will use the funds to purchase equipment and renovate the previous KOA campground in Marshburg. 

The $5,000 Fan Favorite vote, which was named by the in-person audience, was awarded to Chelsea Cummins-Baxter, business owner of Vital Health Mobile Services.  

Vital Health Mobile Services is a new business that will use the funds to purchase diagnostic equipment and a vehicle to be able to provide mobile and in-home phlebotomy services.  

This year’s competition drew 53 applications, culminating in Tuesday night’s Live Pitch Event featuring five finalists. Each finalist presented their business and participated in a Q&A session with the judging panel. 

Among the finalists were Brian and Jenna Zetwick with Brick Valley Farm, who provides safe, high-quality pet boarding, daycare, and locally crafted sustainable pet foods; Dr. Brennan Bushman with OneUp Chiropractic, provides gentle, precise upper cervical adjustments that restore nervous system function and promote natural healing; Chelsea Cummins-Baxter with Vital Health Mobile Services, delivers lab testing and vital monitoring directly to patients’ homes to improve access and prevent avoidable hospitalizations; Scott and Jessica Larkin with Cozy Embers Campground and Cabins, creates a peaceful, family-friendly getaway where guests can enjoy nature without sacrificing comfort; and Jim and Christina Ingerson with Ingerson Overhead Door Services; offers sales, installation, service, and repair of residential and commercial overhead doors across the Bradford region.  

This year’s finalists reflect the growing strength and excitement within Bradford’s entrepreneurial community,” said Carolyn Boser Newhouse, Executive Director of the Bradford Area Alliance. “Aspiring, emerging, and established business leaders are choosing to build and grow right here—demonstrating that our community’s future is full of possibility.” 

Now in its sixth year, the Harvey L. Golubock Business Competition continues to ignite innovation and celebrate local entrepreneurship. Named in honor of Harvey L. Golubock, the competition recognizes his extraordinary leadership and enduring contributions to the Bradford community. To continue this legacy, a Harvey L. Golubock Bradford Business Competition Fund has been established through the McKean County Community Foundation to support future competitions and honor his memory.

The Harvey L. Golubock Business Competition would like to thank the community, entrepreneurs, and volunteers for the sixth year of sparking innovation and celebrating local businesses!
